Spectacular views of the river from our room. The rooms are very comfortable. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The food was very nice. Ideal location for walks along the canal, Horseshoe falls and walking into Llangollen town. We had a lovely short break here, and will definitely come back.

Beautiful historic building radiating charm and warmth. The position of this hotel has a rare angle of Wales everyone should experience. Sitting outside watching the river full of canoeists and directly opposite a regularly passing steam train gives this place a unique experience and the best place for a meal. The menu is well thought through and has fresh, well set out dishes that appeal to everyone. Including fresh stone baked pizzas and deep filled homemade pies. One downside is that the pricing is just tipping over the high end and can put you off slightly, which, if slightly lower, would feel good value and encourage investing in the sides and deserts.

Excellent hotel , fantastic staff , great location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating extremely helpful .The beds are very comfy and the riverside rooms are awesome the sound of the river is very calming and pretty to look at . The food was tasty and good quality. The location is ideal as is only a 20 min walk to town along the canal with picturesque views.

Only visited for food and drinks as staying in the accommodation opposite. Staff were very friendly and accommodating without being asked and didn’t intrude on our evenings. They made us feel welcome and at home. Both meals delicious. Look forward to visiting on our next stay.
